Final Fantasy Origin releases in 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. However, the Final Fantasy Origin demo is exclusively for PS5 and is only available now until June 24 at 10:59 p.m. EST.
If you’re left in any doubt about their mission, just watch the Final Fantasy Origin trailer, wherein the lead Warrior Jack says he needs to find and kill Chaos many times (editor’s note: so many times).
Despite the darker tone, Origin is still very much a Final Fantasy game. Jack and fellow Warriors Ash and Jed use a variety of powers pulled from Final Fantasy jobs such as dragoon, black mage, and, naturally, warrior.
Combat is real-time, and producer Tetsuya Nomura said in a statement it’s something the team is particularly proud of.
As the Final Fantasy Origin demo is a limited-time demo, it disappears after June 24.Stay tuned for more.
